Notes:

Numerous features of M made it amenable as an underlying technology for objects. Numerous features of the technology could be leveraged.
First, the runtime execution features of M environments were natural features that a good object environment demands.
Second, the database features provided a natural, time proven foundation to build the object paradigm upon.
Third, the same database features are extended to the local symbol table, allowing for non-persistent, transient objects at execution time.
I/O features of M are neatly available to objects. However, the dumb terminal devices are largely ignored today.
